A Traditional 17th Century Country Inn ......... you will find The Malt Shovel at Highley, slightly hidden off the main road just behind the former Castle Inn. Due it elevated position the Malt enjoys fantastic views of the Clee Hills from its dining, rear terrace and side beer garden /play area.

At The Malt Shovel Inn we have something for everyone! from one of our tempting selection of real ales and fine wines to our Grill Restaurant offering some of the finest home cooked traditional and modern British cuisine with international influences.

Based in Highley near Bridgnorth and just a stones throw away from Bewdley Cleobury & Ludlow the Pubs idilic location and outstanding views make it the ideal venue for business or pleasure for dining or enjoying a relaxing drink with friends.

The pub and restaurant has now been taken over and refurbished. The result sees a fantastic traditional building reinvigorated. Walk through the door and feel the warm, relaxed atmosphere - From the Lounge bar to the Sports bar and panoramic Restaurant area and elevated al fresco decking area, the Malt Shovel Inn is a really versatile space. You’ll feel just as comfortable enjoying a drink at the bar as you would tucking into an intimate romantic dinner.

On a fine day we can also offer the additional feature of al fresco dining at the rear of the premises or in one of the pleasant beer gardens.

We are a dog friendly country pub and welcome walkers, cyclists, motorcycle , car and sporting clubs to use our spacious facilities and large carpark and are always able to cater for regular meetings and special events. Coach Parties welcome by appointment.
